MariMax Bridge was a tool that I wrote while living in Hong Kong for FreeD Workshop. They needed a tool that could significantly speed up the workflow of the texture artists using 3DS Max and Mari. The tool unwraps the model's UVs and exports the model as an obj. In Mari, the artists can then import the model and paint it using a VRay Layered Shader. Once finished, they simply export and press 'Update Shader' in MariMax Bridge. Using the shader information from Mari, the tool then recreates the layered shader in 3DS Max. This tool was written with maxscript for 3DS Max and python for Mari.
